Hey all,
I have a maytag "dual cool" fridge (about 5 years old) that has no cold at all in the freezer part or the fridge part. The lights and fans in both sections work fine.
I have cleaned the condenser fan blades and unplugged the fridge for several days and there is no cold at all.
One thing I have noticed is that when I leave the fridge on, there is a "popping" or a "cracking" sound in the back of the fridge. I am ALMOST CERTAIN THIS IS A CAPACITOR MAKING THE NOISE, but could be wrong on this.
Could anybody give me a tip here? I'm thinking of removing the capacitor that I see and checking it.
Thx,
