I have a Kenmore side-by-side model 596.50692000. It sounds like it is running, but there is no cooling at all on either the fridge or freezer side. When I turn the freezer thermostat to "off" the fan (or compressor?) turns off. The fridge hasn't really been used for the last month or so since I hadn't been home and the a/c was off, so household temperatures were higher than usual (into the 80s). However, it was cooling as of two days ago, so the failure is pretty recent. I have unplugged the fridge to see if the lack of cooling is caused by ice blockage. Any ideas where to look? I saw the video and was looking for the manual thermostat, but I don't thik this unit has one.
