we are moving and am not sure if I need to drain the machine, I think it would make it easier but am unsure how to do so. Can you help? Please.

There is always going to be a little water in the bottom of the washer. Its not really necessary to remove the water unless you are going to have the machine in a below zero setting while it's being moved.

In that case on this machine you are going to want to remove the back cover of the machine and disconnect the hoses from the drain pump and let the water out. Or another alternative is to add some anti-freeze to the washer. Just a little bit will do. Just be sure to run the machine through an empty cycle when it finds it new home to rinse it out.
