Model ATF7000ES1, new 9/12/2006. Starts to spin but, both directions but never gets to full speed. Only observed during rinse cycle. final spin is 12 minutes, gets to 6 minutes without spinning then shuts off.
Read two others posts about Frigidaire, spinning and out of balance. Any resolutions?
Thanks

Downloaded Trouble shoot guide from Frigidaire, E47 error code, test PTC(Wax Motor) in Door latch assembly. Removing this found 945ohms, not 1500 or short as expected in guide. Opened assembly and observed design and function. Pressed contacts closer together for Aux Switch (wax motor activated) and reinstalled the assembly. Cleared E47 code from front panel and ran spin cycle. It worked, loaded up backed up laundry and got through three loads before E47 came back.
Found replacment assembly online, lowest is $39. Can't source Wax Motor via Frigidaire. Found Wax Motor for Maytag, p/n 12002535, for $8 online at dryerpartsonline.com. Part looks the same, but different color. Risky. Part is also at RepairClinic.com for $12, p/n 1063620
Going to call local dealer during day, see what replacment cost is without waiting for shipment. Will inquire about Wax Motor for Maytag. Compare in store.

Went to parts store, had them pull up the Replacment Frigidare switch assembly and the Maytag Wax Motor. Part in the Frigidare was same color as Maytag, brown body yellow marking. Appeared to be the same part, Ohm meter reading was 1300 on Frigidare, 1295 on Maytag. Store informed me that there was no returns on electrical parts. I bought the Maytag part for $12, over the Frigidare assy for $65. When I got home the washer was spinning at full speed. Wife reports that the fuller the load the better the operation. Haven't installed the part as yet.
