HOW DO YOU TAKE THE COVER OFF TO GET TO THE DISPENSER- MODEL ED5JHEXTBOO

Are you hearing any noise when you press the lever? Humming or anything like that?

no-i think it's the micro switch that's why I want to know how to take the front cover off without breaking it

Read your first post, then do a parts lookup on the model number that you posted. I believe that would be a whirlpool refrigerator.

So, did you get that model number off your Frigidaire Refrigerator? Still not sure what type of refrigerator you have. lol

Boy-Do I ever feel like a fool-my mistake- it is a whirlpool-our old one was a Frigidaire-I'm very sorry!!!
When I press the lever for crushed or cubed Ice nothing happens-no noise or humming-the water and light both work as well as the ice maker- it just won't come through the door
