New Side by side fridge is not cold but freezer works

We have a 4 week old frigidaire side by side. model FGHS2644ks2. It appeared to be working fine for the last week since we moved in and plugged it in. Today we installed the ice and water supply kit and set the temp in the freezer to zero and the fridge to 37 like the manual said. Now the fridge is up to 58 and the freezer is fine. Any suggestions?

Using when this complaint comes up it usually turns out to be one of a couple problems. Either you are at the beginning stages of a defrost problem and the freezer air cannot circulate to the refrigerator side.

The damper letting the air from the freezer is not functioning properly. More than likely staying closed or not opening completely.

If I had to guess I would say defrost problem on this refrigerator. They have an ADC Board that controls the defrost system and are prone to have failures.

With the refrigerator only being 4 weeks old you should be able to get a warranty service call from the manufacture.
